The present Superior General Rev. Father Arturo Sosa, S. J. Invites the Jesuits to have ‘Extraordinary Intellectual Depth’. To achieve this goal the Jesuits focus themselves on the main source of inspiration for the Jesuits is St. Ignatius of Loyola the founder of the Society of Jesus. St. Francis Xavier, one of his trusted founder companions, became equally prominent. Most of the educational institutions run by the Jesuits renowned world over bear the names Loyola and Xavier. They have become ‘brand ‘names.

Destiny led the Jesuits to become a force in the field of education from the very inception of the Religious Order, though it was not their initial vision. Since then a number of committed Jesuits continued this noble task. We have maintained that reputation and feel proud about it. A high level of administration monitors and directs the network of education shouldered by Jesuits. Periodical evaluation evolves a pertinent system to meet the demands of the time and place.

“Let the wise hear and increase in learning and the one who understands abstain guidance.” Proverbs 1:5

The aim of education is a complete constructive transformation of a person — physical, mental, social, cultural, moral, spiritual and religious. The gain of education is not limited to individual domain in our system. Two recent Generals (highest authorities of the Religious Order) have pointed out: “...our educational goal is forming men and women for others. We aim to form leaders in service, men women of competence, conscience and compassionate commitment.” St. Xavier’s English Medium School Pathalgaon, is making all efforts to create such ambience. The Management, staff, students, parents, guardians and well-wishers have to play their roles with sincerity and commitment to take the institution to new heights.

Best wishes and God’s blessings
